Darn Hound

Ok... So much for the cute big dog on the very small chair. This damn hound!  As my father-in-law would say... "He has all day long to think about this."  Clearly... This dog thinks waaaay too much.

Tight Spaces

Buddha likes to be comforted by tight quarters . Snug as a bug in a rug? Or Mastiff on a chair?  Either way, I'd trade places.

Gray's Lake is Grey

Two quick miles between meetings. 8:24 pace... on stiff, out-of-shape, and aging legs. Better than no miles at all I guess. It'd be nice it was sunnier and warm.  But nicer than ice and blasting wind.  Glass half full...I guess.

Spring on Ped Mall

Great to see people out and about on the mall in Iowa city...73 degrees and diggin' the Spring vibe.

Besties

No comment necessary. We have awesome pets: three of them are in college, one in junior high; two on the couch, and one... huh? Where's PeeFah? Ugh... Peeeee Phaaaahhh!?!?  Ugh... so much for good pets.

Makes me wonder what they'd say about their owners?

Peanelgum Awefuls

So Peanut leaves for Duluth today on her way back to campus in Decorah. I told her there was a shorter way... oh well. I guess that's why she needs three days.

Before she left she made her version of Belgium Waffles. What you see here are (parental advice - may be inappropriate for younger audiences) ...

Now where was I?... oh yeah. What you see here are NAKED Awfuls... waiting for fresh cut strawberries and whipped cream sandwiched between and wrapped in tin foil like a food-truck taco.

I'm gonna miss that gal. Safe travels Peanut. Write when you get work, or call when you get back to campus.

Hi Ho, HI Ho...

Not sure if these guys are sad that we leave for work, or if they can't wait for us to go to work. Clearly they a a motley crew that shouldn't be trusted.

Luck o' The Irish

We got this clover plant from Laura's parents. At one point, the pot looked almost as barren as a desert floor with all but microscopic signs of life.

It's been blooming since last Thursday. I don't know why I didn't post the photo on St. Patrick's Day?

St. Joesph's day will have to do. Better late than never...

A Busy Sunday Morning

Assuming the positions for a reckless, devil-be-damned Sunday of hijinks and mayhem. Watch out!

Not Your Normal Walk in the Park

The poor hounds hate having Mamacita and Big Dawg out of town.  That means they have to take me for a walk every night...  No rest for the weary I suppose.

When The Students Break

Someone has to cover the retail store when the crew takes their break. Today I'm on the Peninsula stuffing biscuits for one of our clients... this particular client goes through as many as 1,200 per week!  Ahhhh.. the life of a dog biscuit Barron.

Spring Breaking Baaad

Big Dawg and Mamacita are grabbing a bite in The Dells. Peanut, the photographer, is rumored to also be in the house... but there is no evidence. So until We have evidence... she is likely boozing it up in Decorah.

No Spring Break Picnic

Well it's Pi Day, and Taco Tuesday! But clearly it's not a good day for a picnic. Below freezing. March is in like a lamb, exists like a lion, and will go out like a lamb.  Is it April yet?

Spring Break?

Last month (Feb) we enjoyed 70 degree weather. Today a healthy dose of snow blankets the Monday of Spring Break. The irony is not lost on Iowans.

The Taylor Tabloid Blog is getting pulled from the moth balls, receiving a good dusting-off, and being resuscitated in lieu of other Social Media (Face Book).

The unwanted ads, unsolicited commentary, and partisan proselytizing became a distraction from the simple FUN and messaging we (the Taylor's... more aptly me) want to share. And so without further ado and much excitement (as seen in this picture) we relaunch our Taylor Tabloid efforts.

Big Dawg is even wearing clean skivvies (yes, that's a word... I looked it up).

Looking ahead, the likely focus of this Blog will continue to be the ongoing adventures, exploits, travails, victories, skinned knees, laughs, tears, and gas as the universe expands around the existence of our far from exotic, but still entertaining family.

And so it goes.... enjoy!
