Hey Russ, this is what I get to see every morning when I take the "Ugly Bus" into campus. Yes the hallowed grounds of Kinnick Stadium, ready and waiting for the season to arrive. Go Hawks!
It's all amusing... where friends, family and visitors get up-to-date news, information and comments from Padre, Sidetrack, Beaner, Peanut, Chalupa and Big Dawg. Go F*U*N or go home!

Nerd's Revenge
Not sure I want to narrate but I can't help myself. Professor Nerd (left) making a profound point. Dweeb Student, sees the light.
Dweeb student (right) asks Professor Nerd a very "intelligent" question, and may have stumped the teacher.Yep, Dweeb Student stumped the Nerd Professor and is acting very smug about the entire exchange. Meanwhile Professor Nerd tries to pull an explanation out of her a#$.
But instead settled for pulling her explanation out of her nose.
At the end of the day, the IQ for the household remained (optimistically) static. But somehow, our score for hygiene went down a notch and family fashion scored... off the charts. You be the judge (your comments are not only welcomed, but encouraged).

The Taylors and Millers
There are a lot of off-spring here! From left: Laura (Knox College), Andrew (Jefferson High), Big Dawg (Weber Elementary), Jennifer (Northern Iowa Unversity), Melanie (University of Iowa), Chalupa (Northwest Junior High), Beaner (West High) and Peanut (Northwest Junior High). Eight kids, seven institutions. I think it's about time the parents were institutionalized too!
Happy Birthday Molly
I especially like Molly's Mom, Karen, in the background getting a much more professional photo. Nice work Karen!
Don't let this picture fool you. It was all smiles! REALLY!

Goin' Green
I rode my bike into work this morning. It's a four mile trek through traffic that takes roughly 25 minutes (a bit faster if I catch lights, a bit slower if I'm stall by other commuters. This is my humble contribution to minimize my carbon footprint. Makes me wonder how many others could do the same?
So, if I do the math... 8 miles a day 3 days a week that'd be 24 miles a week. Let's say I do this for 9 months out of the year at 90 miles per month (conservatively) that's 810 miles a year. If I get 30 miles per gallon, that saves rougly 25 gallons of gas (or something like this). It's not much, but better than nothing. Hmm, something to think about.

Waiting for Camp
Here is one of those rare instances where the girls are getting along famously. Beaner (left) and Chalupa (right) are in this picture shortly before the bus arrived to take Peanut off to camp. This was July 12. It will be the last time these three would be together longer than 20 hours until sometime in early August.
The crazy, chaotic lifes we lead and the crazy, chaotic kids that lead the way!

WAPSI Y
Molly, Abby Normal 2, KFC and Chalupa... waiting in line for camp.
As a child, Buzz went to Camp Wapsi Y, so it is cool to see all my kids follow in those ancient footsteps. In fact by now those footsteps are fosselized and may be eligible for an archiological dig! When Chalupa returns home, Beaner will be shuttled off for her Wapsi experience. Should be FUN!

Ann Arbor
While I was there for an Executive MBA Conference, I took time to tour the campus. Here is a picture of their law school (library?).
I got in an early morning run around the Big House. It is indeed a very big stadium, and with the construction, it is getting bigger. Iowa will beat Michigan in a nationally televised football game on October 10th at 7:00 p.m. And remember, you heard it hear first. Go Hawks!

Belated soccer photos
Muscatine, IA. Late June. Chalupa is the blond haired kid with a pony-tail and white t-shirt.
The Magic reminds us it's more than fun and games. It's fun!

Independence Before and After!
Ok... let's line them up. This man is jonesin' for some "works".
Seriously, (and I quote), "I can quit any time I want".
I do believe the man (far left) in the red cap... is "rushin' on his run" and he "feels like Jesus' son". There are worse way's to spend a 4th of July, and as far as the Taylor's are concerned, there are few better ways to bear witness. Sky Bratvold

The Mentingettes Visit - Night two
Big Dawg and NokiDoh share a moment of buddi-hood.
BFF in the tent. Bets were down that they'd never make it through the night. We collected on those bets this morning when these two knuckleheads were discovered huddled in Peanut's bed.
