Boots is pictured with Buzz Daddy just after he completed the Miami marathon in 3:52:58 placing him 108 out of more than 280 people in his age group. The overall placement results have not been posted yet, but the finish should put Alex comfortably in the top 25%.
While 3:52:58 is not an extraordinary finish time, it is notable that he successfully negative split by running the second half of the marathon faster than the first half. This is not an easy thing to do.
Alex has now completed 31 marathons/ultra marathons in 11 different states. He hopes the Miami marathon will prove to be good training for several ultra events to come.
