Here is Weber Elementary Principal Gibson taking a pie (or two) in the face as (I believe) a raffle award for top readers in the school.
One of the highlights of the photos are the kids in the background. I also like the fact that some errant cream managed to spill into the spectators. Great stuff! It's all amusing... where friends, family and visitors get up-to-date news, information and comments from Padre, Sidetrack, Beaner, Peanut, Chalupa and Big Dawg. Go F*U*N or go home!

All sorts of soccer shots
Peanut refereeing a kicker's match.
Chalupa refereeing a kicker's match. They get $10/game. Not bad for an hour's work as long as you don't get parents screaming at you. This was the soccer highlight of the weekend. Chalupa kicked a game tying penalty kick into the lower left hand corner of the net. It was a sweet shot.

Charity Dinner
From the left: J.A. Mandy, Teej, Steve, Terry, Buzz, Side Track, Crazy and Mrs. Crazy, Renee and Scott. This was seven course gourmet meal for 10 that was won in an Auction for March of Dimes. A great time was had by all!
Author, Tim Johnston took in some friendly conversation. Look for his book of short stories in your local independent book store beginning in November! Crazy, Mrs. Crazy and Renee, were following different captivating conversations.
Scott and Buzz getting caught up since our last get together. Former housemates during a couple of Iowa Summer School sessions, who would have thought this is where we'd be 25 years later?

Soccer Re-cap on Easter Eve.
Peanut (far right) is waiting for the ball to bounce her way. Blizzards lost 5 - 1, in a humbling match. The controlled the middle of the field but had nothing when it came to a presence around the important ends of the field.
Here is Chalupa leaving practice on Friday. Practice paid off. The Magic tied today 1 - 1. Chalupa was in the net for the second half and remains perfect for the season. Meanwhile, Buzz Daddy is bed bound waiting for his back to return to something more mobile and less painful. The 2009 running streak officially ended at 99 days. Ironically, Buzz was bending over to lace his running shoes to make it 100 days of 2 miles or more when his back gave out. The lingering pain from moving furniture a few weeks ago, quickly turned to a streak- halting debilitating condition that will require a few good meds, and bed-rest to heal.
It's just a temporary setback, for now. Happy Easter everyone!

A New Season is Dawning
Big Dawg started the day with his first soccer match. He scored a goal, and other than that... seemed to spend most of his time on the ground.
Here we see Sidetrack overlooking Peanut, Toots, and Chalupa as they watch Big Dawg play soccer.
Here we see Sidetrack overlooking Peanut, Toots, and Chalupa as they watch Big Dawg play soccer.
And last, we see Chalupa about to make a save in their 6 - 0 win over Marion.
