A steamy evening indeed. But that's what summer's all about. Fifteen minutes of rain, then sunny and 87 degrees. Ahhhh.
Enjoy!
Soon it will be snowy and 8.7 degrees.
Enjoy and smell the flowers... while we can. That's what it's all about.
It's all amusing... where friends, family and visitors get up-to-date news, information and comments from Padre, Sidetrack, Beaner, Peanut, Chalupa and Big Dawg. Go F*U*N or go home!

Coincidence?
Amazingly these two photos were taken right across the street from one another. How odd is that? Other than proximity, it is my understanding these are mutually exclusive events.
As a side note, the driver of the flipped truck left the scene right after the accident and has not been heard from since.

What happens in "Boji"... get's blogged
We blasted down to Lake Okaboji, IA this past weekend. Buzz Daddy needed to get a long training run in so he opted to jog the University of Okaboji Marathon instead of going it solo. All's well that ends well. He was done by 10:00 so the rest of the weekend was a flurry of rides, swimming, eating and putt putt golf. Horray!

With nothing better to do before the Annual St. Peter 4th of July Parade, the Taylor kids stacked up for this photo op. - Belly Bean, Chalupa, Boots and BD. For a two hour spectical, we didn't see any unicycles, only two or three clowns, no horses, no bag-pipes, and only one vintage farm tractor that I can remember. In other words, this parade has a ways to go to match the silliness of Decorah's annual Nordic-mess fiasco.
Below BD displays his new definition for political canvasing. By the time the parade ended, you could barely see any part of his shirt under all the stickers.
During the parade Buzz Daddy enjoyed a brief encounter with Al Franken who was stumping for a local politician. When asked if he was going to run, Mr. Franken replied that he might in two years, but today he was helping Waltz run for his congressional seat. That's about as much inside scoop as we'll ever get to pending national politics.
As a side note, the venerable gentleman sitting next to us commented that Al Franken was too smart to be in politics and should stick with his media commentary. A point well taken.
